We are delighted to announce that A Richards Consulting Ltd (ARC) has signed an agreement to represent United States Controls (USC) in Europe, including sales of equipment and after sales service and support including spares and repairs for the steel and aluminium rolling industries.

With more than 250 installations worldwide, United States Controls is a leader in the design and manufacture of selective spray bar cooling systems for rolling mills. Unlike other spray bar manufacturers, USC’s innovative modular design and self-cleaning valve technology offer mill operators improved performance and reliability making them the preferred choice for both new and retrofit installations around the world.

A Richards Consulting (ARC) is an independent consulting and engineering group, providing engineering support through a small group of associates who are expert rolling mill and process line design engineers who have also gained many years of experience in the manufacturing, capital equipment industry, particularly in the metals and mining world.

Our representation of USC in Europe means that we can combine the supply and support of a world leading spray control system for aluminium & steel rolling mills, with a complete engineering support package, particularly comforting for our clients wishing to retrofit the USC spray system to an existing mill to improve performance.

ARC is also able to engineer extensive mill improvement upgrades from strip dryness to enhanced strip inspection systems, mill modifications to enable wider strip or larger coils to be processed and also has in house mill modelling capability for scheduling of new products.

Sales of USC equipment will be led by Trevor Card on behalf of ARC. Trevor has 30+ years experience in supplying this type of equipment to aluminium and steel and is highly experienced in mill controls in general.
